BUILDING GREEN
 Kimal Lumber's commitment to sustainable building can be traced back to the early 1990's with a partnership with the Florida House Learning Center (FHLC). The FHLC was built as an example of how a house could be built demonstrating the most current methods and materials at that time for an energy efficient, water conserving, natural landscaped structure that was relevant to Florida's climate.
We have a continuing commitment to promote green building through our Kimal Lumber Event Center. Our Event Center is a lead by example model of environmental stewardship in its design, construction and operation. Kimal Lumber supports green building practices and we are proud to help educate our industry and find solutions to green building challenges.
The industry as a whole has made great strides in environmental awareness. The supply chain is meeting the consumer demand for durable, non-toxic products that address the important concerns of conserving our dwindling natural resources. The selection of green building products is better than ever and no longer exists in the shadowy fringes of awareness. Green building is being adapted by some of the areas biggest builders and developers who see this as a continuing trend, rather than a passing fad.
