Reinventing Your Career in the Green Space9/20/2010 1 Hour Seminar:
Careers at all levels have been short circuited by the recent “Great Recession”. Ten percent national unemployment was not reached through the traditional methods of selective layoffs of poor performers; it was achieved through shutting down whole departments, whole divisions and whole companies. The result is that untold numbers of mid-career individuals are on the street, having to reinvent themselves to participate in the one business sector that offers excitement, opportunity, momentum and growth…the “green” economy.
A career change of that magnitude is neither easy nor intuitive for most and if not well thought out the pursuit can be time consuming, costly, frustrating and futile.
This presentation introduces a disciplined approach to thinking about and thinking through that career transition. It offers suggestions and examples for; identifying a “green” alternative that will energize you, defining your transferrable skill sets, articulating the value that you can deliver, and building a viable path to that new career of either working for someone else or launching your own entrepreneurial venture.
